A quarterly, electronic newsletter is under development by NAPCO targeting timely, helpful information for leaders of metropolitan trial courts. The format will be short, simple and useful…the entire newsletter geared to be read in 10 minutes or less.
New readers will be able to subscribe and unsubscribe, as well as forward the newsletter to others. No one will be added to the list without their permission. A double opt-in method of subscription will be used, meaning a recipient must sign up and subsequently confirm in a separate step they wish to subscribe before being added to our electronic list.
Five sections have been initially discussed as standard features for the e-newsletter. The NAPCO Executive Committee will decide the final array. Currently, the features outlined include…
- Leadership and Governance;
- Caseflow Management;
- Budgets, Funding and Infrastructure;
- Court Technology and;
- Viewpoints – editorials, controversial issues, book reviews and letters
Among some of the names suggested for the newsletter are The Urban Brief and The Metro Crier. Initially, the editor will be NAPCO’s Executive Director.
