This year’s 46th Annual Meeting and Education Session in L.A. comes at a time when many courts continue to readjust budgets, reduce expenditures, and revamp programs. “In the third year of the continuing recession, court leaders are becoming savvier regarding funding flexibility in order to attend helpful education sessions such as planned for Los Angeles,” Gordon Griller, NCMC’s Executive Director said, “Many are coupling personal expenses and grant funds to attend.” This year’s Los Angeles Conference is the first time NCMC will use its new educational model which sites workshops and seminars at courthouses instead of hotels as a cost-cutting tool.
